  11. Our philosophy and hopes.

  13. MU is the start of what we hope will eventually become a comprehensive
  14. mathematical utility program.  By comprehensive, we mean an application
  15. that will supply the user with those most frequently used functions at 
  16. the click of a mouse button.

  18. Of course, software can't be all things to all people, but we are hoping
  19. to expand this into a unique and useful product.  Therefore, we are 
  20. requesting as much input from users or potential users 
  21. as possible, so that we can continue to expand the product's capability.

  23. Please note that MU is not in the public domain.  It is shareware, so
  24. if you decide it is useful, please send $5 to the address listed
  25. above along with your comments and suggestions.  Hopefully, we will be 
  26. able to feed ourselves, our families, and our extended families on the 
  27. pittance which we are requesting.

  29. MU's Development

  31. MU started out as a utility menu choice for a much larger application
  32. developed in ACTOR«.  Because of its usefulness to us as we worked on 
  33. our larger application, we decided to make it stand alone.  Of course,
  34. right now it does have a limited set of features, but more are in the
  35. works and we wanted to get it out to others to test its usefulness.

  41. MU (Mathematical Utilities) is a program which puts two useful
  42. utilities at your finger tips.  The first option is a unit converter, 
  43. which allows you to perform conversions on a multitude of measurement 
  44. units.  With its help, you will no longer need to flip through your 
  45. old physics books and manuals in order to find out how to convert 
  46. from meters to miles, or from ft-lbs to ergs, for example.  The second 
  47. is a right triangle calculator utility which performs common calculations 
  48. on the right triangle with dimensions chosen by you.

  50. Start MU up from the file manager
